Unfinished Business: The New AIDS Show
Produced by Theater Rhinoceros
First run: September 1985

This page documents the participation of Automatic Pilot members Karl Brown and Matthew McQueen in Theater Rhinoceros Unfinished Business: The New AIDS Show.

Theater Rhinoceros presented this revised version of The AIDS Show on the Main Stage in Fall 1985. We wrote a new song, Vaccine Day, which was featured in the video documentary by Rob Epstein and Peter Adair, and another song, Cross the River, that was considered for but cut from the show.

We worked with musical director James Followell on arrangements for Vaccine Day and an updated version of Safe Livin' in Dangerous Times. James also created a new arrangement of Stephen Sondheim's Not A Day Goes By.

Matthew designed the poster; Karl served as sound designer, and produced recordings of the accompaniment and demos of the songs at Bear West Studios.
